Today is September 18th, also known as National Cheeseburger Day. And what a blessed day it is! As if you needed any new reason to eat a cheeseburger, there’s a whole holiday for it. So we here at Scotch Porter have combed through the streets of New York City to find the best spots to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day. Don’t worry, we added a little something for the non-meat eaters of the bunch too. Check out our Top 5 picks.

J.G. Melon

1291 3rd Ave, New York, NY

J.G. Melon is ranked as one of Bobby Flay’s favorite spots for a burger, if not THE spot where he goes for the best burger in NYC. Who’s gonna argue with the king of grilling. Try a simple cheeseburger with some cottage fries. You’ll be pleased. Promise.

The sister restaurant to NYC’s Redeye Grill has many different burgers to try. Even a Crab Cake BLT Burger! Try this Old Fashioned Brooklyn Burger when you really want to overdo it.

No meat? No problem. This restaurant “sibling” to the Brooklyn Diner offers a sushi burger in between sushi rice for a bite that’s just as good as any beef burger can provide. Don’t believe us? Try it.

Ever sit back and think “Hmmm…I kind of want a cheeseburger, but I kind of want macaroni and cheese”? Well, The Ainsworth has solved that problem with their Mac And Cheese Burger. This giant burger boasts a bunch of different cheeses and quality beef. Now can have your burger and eat it too.

Serendipity 3

Thought we’d add this one for the ultimate #burgergoals. In 2012, Serendipity 3 unveiled Le Burger Extravagant, a $295 burger that consisted of black truffles, James Montgomery cheddar cheese, a fried quail egg, and Japanese Wagyu beef made with white truffle butter. It was once named the most expensive burger, but was upstaged by London eatery Honky Tonk’s Glamburger priced at $1,768. Wow.
